The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.3; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

आत्मोचितैर् विभावाद्यैः प्रीतिर् आस्वादनीयताम् ।
नीता चेतसि भक्तानां प्रीति-भक्ति-रसो मतः ॥३.२.३॥

ātmocitair vibhāvādyaiḥ prītir āsvādanīyatām |
nītā cetasi bhaktānāṃ prīti-bhakti-raso mataḥ ||3.2.3||

English translation

“When prīti or adoration achieves a pleasurable nature by vibhāvas, anubhāvas, sāttvika-bhāvas and vyabhicārī-bhāvas in the hearts of the devotees, it is called prīti-bhakti-rasa.
