The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.2; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

रति-स्थायितया नाम-कौमुदी-कृद्भिर् अप्य् असौ ।
शान्तत्वेनायम् एवाद्धा सुदेवाद्यैश् च वर्णितः ॥३.२.२॥rati-sthāyitayā nāma-kaumudī-kṛdbhir apy asau |
śāntatvenāyam evāddhā sudevādyaiś ca varṇitaḥ ||3.2.2||
English translation
“Lakṣmīdhara the author of Nāma-kaumudī has called this rasa a sthāyī-rati, and Sudeva and other authorities on literary ornament have called it a form of śānta-rasa.”
