The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.1.31; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ रोमाञ्चो, यथा —
पाञ्चजन्य-जनितो ध्वनिर् अन्तः
क्षोभयन् सपदि बिद्ध-समाधिः ।
योगिनां गिरि-गुहा-निलयानां
पुद्गले पुलक-पालिम् अनैषीत् ॥३.१.३१॥

atha romāñco, yathā —
pāñcajanya-janito dhvanir antaḥ
kṣobhayan sapadi biddha-samādhiḥ
|
yogināṃ giri-guhā-nilayānāṃ
pudgale pulaka-pālim anaiṣīt
||3.1.31||

English translation

Hair standing on end:
“The sound of the Pañcajanya conch agitated the hearts of the yogīs living in the mountain caves. It broke their samādhi and made their hair stand on end.”
