The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.1.30; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ सात्त्विकाः —
रोमाञ्च-स्वेद-कम्पाद्याः सात्त्विकाः प्रलयं विना ॥३.१.३०॥

atha sāttvikāḥ —
romāñca-sveda-kampādyāḥ sāttvikāḥ pralayaṃ vinā ||3.1.30||

English translation

Sāttvika-bhāvas:
“In śānta-rasa all the sāttvika-bhāvas, such as standing of the hair on end, perspiration and shaking of the body occur, with the exception of fainting.”
