The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.133; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

भावनायाः पदे यस् तु बुधेनानन्य-बुद्धिना ।
भाव्यते गाढ-संस्कारैश् चित्ते भावः स कथ्यते ॥२.५.१३३॥

bhāvanāyāḥ pade yas tu budhenānanya-buddhinā |
bhāvyate gāḍha-saṃskāraiś citte bhāvaḥ sa kathyate
||2.5.133||

English translation

“That which the wise person who has dedicated his intelligence only to the Lord experiences in his heart, which realizes vibhāva and the other elements as separate entities, through deep impressions of previous bhakti, is called bhāva.”
