The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.132; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

व्यतीत्य भावना-वर्त्म यश् चमत्कार-कार-भूः ।
हृदि सत्त्वोज्ज्वले बाढं स्वदते स रसो मतः ॥२.५.१३२॥

vyatītya bhāvanā-vartma yaś camatkāra-kāra-bhūḥ |
hṛdi sattvojjvale bāḍhaṃ svadate sa raso mataḥ
||2.5.132||

English translation

“That which becomes even more intensely relished in the heart made bright with hlādinī and saṃvit śaktis (attainment of bhāva), after surpassing the stage of distinguishing the constituent bhāvas, and which becomes more astonishing in bliss than bhāvas, is rasa.”
