The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.124; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अलौकिक-विभावत्वं नीतेभ्यो रति-लीलया ।
सद्-उक्त्या च सुखं तेभ्यः स्यात् सुव्यक्तम् इति स्थितिः ॥२.५.१२४॥

alaukika-vibhāvatvaṃ nītebhyo rati-līlayā |
sad-uktyā ca sukhaṃ tebhyaḥ syāt suvyaktam iti sthitiḥ
||2.5.124||

English translation

“It is well-established by the knowers of rasa that, by the speeches of the devotees and by the nature of rati itself, karuṇa, bhayanaka and bībhatsa will produce happiness, since those rasas have the nature of manifesting vibhāva (Kṛṣṇa) and other elements that produce extraordinary, astonishing bliss.”
