तद् उक्तं श्री-भरतेन —
शक्तिर् अस्ति विभावादेः कापि साधारणी-कृतौ ।
प्रमाता तद्-अभेदेन स्वं यया प्रतिपद्यते ॥२.५.१०३॥tad uktaṃ śrī-bharatena —
śaktir asti vibhāvādeḥ kāpi sādhāraṇī-kṛtau |
pramātā tad-abhedena svaṃ yayā pratipadyate ||2.5.103||
English translation
Bharata Muni has said:
“In the matter of identification, there is an indescribable power in vibhāva and the other elements, by which the audience becomes nondifferent from the characters depicted on the stage.”
