The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.98; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

माधुर्याद्य्-आश्रयत्वेन कृष्णादींस् तनुते रतिः ।
तथानुभूयमानास् ते विस्तीर्णां कुर्वते रतिम् ॥२.५.९८॥

mādhuryādy-āśrayatvena kṛṣṇādīṃs tanute ratiḥ |
tathānubhūyamānās te vistīrṇāṃ kurvate ratim
||2.5.98||

English translation

Rati reveals Kṛṣṇa and things related to Him as the shelter of qualities (such as sweetness), and Kṛṣṇa, after being experienced in that way, increases the rati.”
