The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.92; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

महा-शक्ति-विलासात्मा भावो’चिन्त्य-स्वरूप-भाक् ।
रत्य्-आख्या इत्य् अयं युक्तो न हि तर्केण बाधितुम् ।
भारताद्य्-उक्तिर् एषा हि प्राक्तनैर् अप्य् उदाहृता ॥२.५.९२॥

mahā-śakti-vilāsātmā bhāvo’cintya-svarūpa-bhāk |
raty-ākhyā ity ayaṃ yukto na hi tarkeṇa bādhitum |
bhāratādy-uktir eṣā hi prāktanair apy udāhṛtā
||2.5.92||

English translation

“The ancient authorities have given the following statement from Mahābhārata as an example to show that rati, which is the manifestation of hlādinī-śakti, which is beyond the conceivable—deriding even liberation and giving joy to the Lord Himself—should not be defiled by material logic.”
