रतिर् द्विधापि कृष्णाद्यैः श्रुतैर् अवगतैः स्मृतैः ।
तैर् विभावादितां यद्भिस् तद्-भक्तेषु रसो भवेत् ॥२.५.७९॥ratir dvidhāpi kṛṣṇādyaiḥ śrutair avagataiḥ smṛtaiḥ |
tair vibhāvāditāṃ yadbhis tad-bhakteṣu raso bhavet ||2.5.79||
English translation
“The primary and secondary ratis produce vibhāvas, anubhāvas, sāttvika- bhāvas and vyabhicārī-bhāvas through hearing about, experiencing or remembering Kṛṣṇa. All these combine to become rasa in devotees.”
