The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.66; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तद्-वैरि-विभावाः, यथा —
अथ कंस-सहोदरोग्र-दावे
हरिम् अभ्युद्यति तीव्र-हेति-भाजि ।
रभसाद् अलिकाम्बरे प्रलम्ब-
द्विषतो’भूद् भ्रू-कुटी-पयोद-रेखा ॥२.५.६६॥

tad-vairi-vibhāvāḥ, yathā —
atha kaṃsa-sahodarogra-dāve
harim abhyudyati tīvra-heti-bhāji |
rabhasād alikāmbare pralamba-
dviṣato’bhūd bhrū-kuṭī-payoda-rekhā
||2.5.66||

English translation

Anger stimulated by an enemy:
“When the blazing forest fire, who was actually the brother of Kaṃsa, surrounded Kṛṣṇa, a frown of anger appeared on the forehead of Balarāma like a cloud bank in the sky.”
