The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.64; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. एवं पूर्वोक्तवत्-सिद्धं विदुः क्रोध-रतिं बुधाः ।
द्विधासौ कृष्ण-तद्-वैरि-भावत्वेन कीर्तिता ॥२.५.६४॥evaṃ pūrvoktavat-siddhaṃ viduḥ krodha-ratiṃ budhāḥ |
dvidhāsau kṛṣṇa-tad-vairi-bhāvatvena kīrtitā ||2.5.64||
English translation
“Krodha-rati arises from krodha in the same way as hāsa-rati arises from hāsa. It has two types: where the stimulus for krodha is Kṛṣṇa and where the stimulus is the enemy of Kṛṣṇa.”
