The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.63; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ क्रोध-रतिः —
प्रातिकूल्यादिभिश् चित्त-ज्वलनं क्रोध ईर्यते ।
पारुष्य-भ्रू-कुटी-नेत्र-लौहित्यादि-विकार-कृत् ॥२.५.६३॥

atha krodha-ratiḥ
prātikūlyādibhiś citta-jvalanaṃ krodha īryate |
pāruṣya-bhrū-kuṭī-netra-lauhityādi-vikāra-kṛt
||2.5.63||

English translation

Krodha-rati:
“Flaming up of the heart from encountering opposition is called krodha or anger. In this state rough behavior, frowning and reddening of the eyes manifest.”
