अथ गौणी —
विभावोत्कर्षजो भाव-विशेषो यो’नुगृह्यते ।
सङ्कुचन्त्या स्वयं रत्या स गौणी रतिर् उच्यते ॥२.५.३९॥atha gauṇī —
vibhāvotkarṣajo bhāva-viśeṣo yo’nugṛhyate |
saṅkucantyā svayaṃ ratyā sa gauṇī ratir ucyate ||2.5.39||
English translation
Gauṇa-rati (secondary rati):
“When a different emotional state arising from the excellence of the ālambana (vibhāva) manifests while the primary rati subdues itself, it is called secondary rati.”
