The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.34; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
अग्रासि यन्-निरभिसन्धि-विरोध-भाजः
कंसस्य किङ्कर-गणैर् गिरितो’प्य् उदग्रैः ।
गास् तत्र रक्षितुम् असौ गहने मृदुर् मे
बालः प्रयात्य् अविरतं बत किं करोमि ॥२.५.३४॥

yathā —
agrāsi yan-nirabhisandhi-virodha-bhājaḥ
kaṃsasya kiṅkara-gaṇair girito’py udagraiḥ |
gās tatra rakṣitum asau gahane mṛdur me
bālaḥ prayāty avirataṃ bata kiṃ karomi
||2.5.34||

English translation

An example:
“The forest is filled with inimical Kaṃsa’s servants, who are more solid than mountains. My tender boy goes constantly to that dense forest. Oh! What should I do?”
