The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.5.20; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा वा —
हरि-वल्लभ-सेवया समन्ताद्
अपर-वर्गानुभवं किलावधीर्य ।
घन-सुन्दरम् आत्मनो’प्य् अभीष्टं
परमं ब्रह्म दिदृक्षते मनो मे ॥२.५.२०॥

yathā vā —
hari-vallabha-sevayā samantād
apara-vargānubhavaṃ kilāvadhīrya |
ghana-sundaram ātmano’py abhīṣṭaṃ
paramaṃ brahma didṛkṣate mano me
||2.5.20||

English translation

Another example:
“Because of serving the devotees, I have given up the happiness of liberation as insignificant and surpassing the impersonal brahman, I desire to see the dark-hued Lord, the highest form of brahman.”
