The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.267; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

द्रवेद् अत्राद्य-युगलम् आतपेन यथायथम् ।
द्रवीभूतं स्वभावेन सर्वदैवामृतं भवेत् ।
गोविन्द-प्रेष्ठ-वर्याणां चित्तं स्याद् अमृतं किल ॥२.४.२६७॥

draved atrādya-yugalam ātapena yathāyatham |
dravībhūtaṃ svabhāvena sarvadaivāmṛtaṃ bhavet |
govinda-preṣṭha-varyāṇāṃ cittaṃ syād amṛtaṃ kila
||2.4.267||

English translation

“Beeswax and butter become liqui from different degrees of the sun’s heat. Nectar is naturally liquid. The hearts of the dearest devotees of Govinda are naturally soft like nectar.”
