The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.260; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

गरिष्ठं स्वर्ण-पिण्डाभं लघिष्ठं तुल-पिण्डवत् ।
चित्त-युग्मे’त्र विज्ञया भावस्य पवनोपमा ॥२.४.२६०॥

gariṣṭhaṃ svarṇa-piṇḍābhaṃ laghiṣṭhaṃ tula-piṇḍavat |
citta-yugme’tra vijñayā bhāvasya pavanopamā
||2.4.260||

English translation

“The heavy heart is like a pile of gold. The light heart is like a pile of cotton wool. The bhāvas act like wind in relation to these two types of hearts.”
