The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.237; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

yathā —
rākṣasīṃ niśi niśāmya niśānte
gokuleśa-gṛhiṇī patitāṅgīm |
tat-kucopari sutaṃ ca hasantaṃ
hanta niścala-tanuḥ kṣaṇam āsīt ||2.4.237||
atrāniṣṭeṣṭa-saṃvīkṣākṛtayor jāḍyayor yutiḥ |

Jaḍya caused by favorable and unfavorable circumstances:
“ ‘In the evening, the dead demoness lay on the earth and you son was sitting on her breast laughing.’ When Yaśodā heard this, she remained motionless for some time.”
