प्रहारस्य विभावत्वं संमोह-प्रलयौ प्रति ।
औग्र्यं प्रत्यनुभावत्वम् एवं ज्ञेयाः परे’पि च ॥२.४.२०१॥prahārasya vibhāvatvaṃ saṃmoha-pralayau prati |
augryaṃ pratyanubhāvatvam evaṃ jñeyāḥ pare’pi ca ||2.4.201||
English translation
“Beating is the cause of moha (fainting, a vyābhicārī-bhāva) and pralaya (a sāttvika-bhāva). It is also the effect of augrya (ferocity, a vyābhicārī-bhāva). Other states should be understood similarly.”
