औत्सुक्यं प्रति चिन्तायाः कथितात्रानुभावता ।
निद्रां प्रति विभावत्वम् एवं ज्ञेयः परे’प्य् अमी ॥२.४.१९८॥autsukyaṃ prati cintāyāḥ kathitātrānubhāvatā |
nidrāṃ prati vibhāvatvam evaṃ jñeyaḥ pare’py amī ||2.4.198||
English translation
“Cintā (pondering) is the effect of autsukya (impatience) and the cause of nidrā (sleep). In this way one should understand how the vyābhicārī-bhāvas act mutually as anubhāva (actions as effect) and vibhāva (actions as cause).”
