The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.165; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र अन्य-सौभाग्येन, यथा पद्यावल्याम् (३०२) —
मा गर्वम् उद्वह कपोल-तले चकास्ति
कृष्ण-स्वहस्त-लिखिता नव-मञ्जरीति ।
अन्यापि किं न सखि भाजनम् ईदृशीनां
वैरी न चेद् भवति वेपथुर् अन्तरायः ॥२.४.१६५॥

tatra anya-saubhāgyena, yathā padyāvalyām (302) —
mā garvam udvaha kapola-tale cakāsti
kṛṣṇa-svahasta-likhitā nava-mañjarīti |
anyāpi kiṃ na sakhi bhājanam īdṛśīnāṃ
vairī na ced bhavati vepathur antarāyaḥ
||2.4.165||

English translation

Envy arising from others’ increase of good fortune, from Padyāvalī [302]:
“Do not be proud, now that you attain the glory of a new mañjarī marked with the hand of Kṛṣṇa on your forehead. Can no one else be the recipient of that mark? Others would also have this good fortune if our enemy’s hand did not shake.”
