अथ (२८) अमर्षः —
अधिक्षेपापमानादेः स्याद् अमर्षो’सहिष्णुता ॥२.४.१५९॥
तत्र स्वेदः शिरःकम्पो विवर्णत्वं विचिन्तनम् ।
उपायान्वेषणाक्रोश-वैमुख्योत्ताडनादयः ॥२.४.१६०॥atha (28) amarṣaḥ —
adhikṣepāpamānādeḥ syād amarṣo’sahiṣṇutā ||2.4.159||
tatra svedaḥ śiraḥkampo vivarṇatvaṃ vicintanam |
upāyānveṣaṇākrośa-vaimukhyottāḍanādayaḥ ||2.4.160||
English translation
“Intolerance arising from contempt, insult or other causes is called amarṣa (indignation). In this state perspiration, shaking the head, change of color, pondering, looking for methods, shouting, turning away and beating occur.”
