The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.154; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

इष्टाप्ति-स्पृहया, यथा —
नर्म-कर्मठतया सखी-गणे
द्राघयत्य् अघहराग्रतः कथाम् ।
गुच्छक-ग्रहण-कैतवाद् असौ
गह्वरं द्रुत-पद-क्रमं ययौ ॥२.४.१५४॥

iṣṭāpti-spṛhayā, yathā —
narma-karmaṭhatayā sakhī-gaṇe
drāghayaty aghaharāgrataḥ kathām |
gucchaka-grahaṇa-kaitavād asau
gahvaraṃ druta-pada-kramaṃ yayau
||2.4.154||

English translation

Impatience arising from desire to attain one’s object:
“When the gopīs tried to prolong the conversation with Kṛṣṇa by expert joking, and thus delay Him, Rādhā came to the grove quickly, on the pretext of accepting a bunch of flowers.”
