The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.144; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ (२४) धृतिः —
धृतिः स्यात् पूर्णता ज्ञान-दुःखाभावोत्तमाप्तिभिः ।
अप्राप्तातीत-नष्टार्थान् अभिसंशोचनादि-कृत् ॥२.४.१४४॥

atha (24) dhṛtiḥ
dhṛtiḥ syāt pūrṇatā jñāna-duḥkhābhāvottamāptibhiḥ |
aprāptātīta-naṣṭārthān abhisaṃśocanādi-kṛt
||2.4.144||

English translation

“The steadiness of heart arising from attaining realization of the Lord, from absence of suffering in attaining realization of the Lord, and from realizing prema with the Lord is called dhṛti. In this state there is no lamentation for things not attained or for things that have disappeared.”
