The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.139; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.
Verse 2.4.139
aniṣṭāptyā, yathā —
gṛhiṇi gahanayāntaścintayonnidra-netrā
glapaya na mukha-padmaṃ tapta-bāṣpa-plavena |
nṛpa-puram anuvindan gāndineyena sārdhaṃ
tava sutam aham eva drāk parāvartayāmi ||2.4.139||
Cintā arising from attaining something undesirable:
“Do not remain sleepless, absorbed in intense deliberation, with hot tears withering your lotus face. I will go to Mathurā with Akrura and bring back your son very soon.”
