The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.133; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.
Verse 2.4.133
tatra vimarṣād, yathā vidagdha-mādhave (2.27) —
na jānīṣe mūrdhnaś cyutam api śikhaṇḍaṃ yad akhilaṃ
na kaṇṭhe yan mālyaṃ kalayasi purastāt kṛtam api |
tad unnītaṃ vṛndāvana-kuhara-līlā-kalabha he
sphuṭaṃ rādhā-netra-bhramara-vara vīryonnatir iyam ||2.4.133||
Vitarka arising from inference, from Vidagdha-mādhava:
“O elephant who sports in the houses of Vṛndāvan! The peacock feather has fallen from Your head to the ground, but You are unaware of that. There is a prepared garland lying in front of You, but You do not put it on. From that I can infer that the power of the bees, in the form of Rādhā’s eyes, has agitated You.”
