अथ (१६) आलस्यम् —
सामर्थ्यस्यापि सद्-भावे क्रियानुन्मुखता हि या ।
तृप्ति-श्रमादि-सम्भूता तद्-आलस्यम् उदीर्यते ॥२.४.१०३॥atha (16) ālasyam —
sāmarthyasyāpi sad-bhāve kriyānunmukhatā hi yā |
tṛpti-śramādi-sambhūtā tad-ālasyam udīryate ||2.4.103||
English translation
“Lack of enthusiasm to perform activities because of satiation or fatigue, even though one has the ability to do them, is called ālasya.”
