The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.88; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा वा —
श्रुत्वा हन्त हतं त्वया यदु-कुलोत्तंसात्र कंसासुरं
दैत्यस् तस्य सुहृत्तमः परिणतिं घोरां गतः काम् अपि ।
लाला-फेन-कदम्ब-चुम्बित-मुख-प्रान्तस् तरङ्गद्-भुजो
घूर्णन्न् अर्णव-सीम्नि मण्डलतया भ्राम्यन् न विश्राम्यति ॥२.४.८८॥

yathā vā —
śrutvā hanta hataṃ tvayā yadu-kulottaṃsātra kaṃsāsuraṃ
daityas tasya suhṛttamaḥ pariṇatiṃ ghorāṃ gataḥ kām api |
lālā-phena-kadamba-cumbita-mukha-prāntas taraṅgad-bhujo
ghūrṇann arṇava-sīmni maṇḍalatayā bhrāmyan na viśrāmyati
||2.4.88||

English translation

Another example:
“Crown jewel of the Yadus! Hearing that You killed Kaṃsa, Kaṃsa’s close friends underwent unspeakable, terrible transformations. They wander on the beach whirling about like wheels and cannot stop. Foam flows from their mouths in great quantities and their arms flail about.”
