The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.75; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा वा —
चण्डांशोस् तुरगान् सटाग्र-नटनैर् आहत्य विद्रावयन्
द्राग् अन्धङ्करणः सुरेन्द्र-सुदृशां गोष्ठोद्धूतैः पांशुभिः ।
प्रत्यासीदतु मत्-पुरः सुर-रिपुर् गर्वान्धम् अर्वाकृतिर्
द्रगिष्ठे मुहुर् अत्र जाग्रति भुजे व्यग्रासि मातः कथम् ॥२.४.७५॥

yathā vā —
caṇḍāṃśos turagān saṭāgra-naṭanair āhatya vidrāvayan
drāg andhaṅkaraṇaḥ surendra-sudṛśāṃ goṣṭhoddhūtaiḥ pāṃśubhiḥ |
pratyāsīdatu mat-puraḥ sura-ripur garvāndham arvākṛtir
dragiṣṭhe muhur atra jāgrati bhuje vyagrāsi mātaḥ katham

English translation

Another example:
“O mother! The horse demon Keśī blinds the heavenly damsels of Indra by raising the dust in the stables with his hooves. By shaking his mane he whips the horses pulling the chariot of the sun and makes them flee away. But let that demon horse come towards Me! My long arm is ready for him! Why are you so disturbed?”
