The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.66; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अप्रिय-दर्शनजो, यथा —
किम् इदं किम् इदं किम् एतद् उच्चैर्
इति घोर-ध्वनि-घूर्णिता लपन्ती ।
निशि वक्षति वीक्ष्य पूतनायास्
तनयं भ्राम्यति सम्भ्रमाद् यशोदा ॥२.४.६६॥

apriya-darśanajo, yathā —
kim idaṃ kim idaṃ kim etad uccair
iti ghora-dhvani-ghūrṇitā lapantī |
niśi vakṣati vīkṣya pūtanāyās
tanayaṃ bhrāmyati sambhramād yaśodā
||2.4.66||

English translation

From seeing something detestable:
“Hearing a terrifying sound and seeing Kṛṣṇa on the chest of Pūtanā during a dream, Yaśodā wailed in a loud voice, ‘What is this? What is this?’ She began wandering about in confusion.”
