The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.65; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

priya-śravaṇajo, yathā śrī-daśame (10.23.18) —
śrutvācyutam upāyātaṃ nityaṃ tad-darśanotsukāḥ |
tat-kathākṣipta-manaso babhūvur jāta-sambhramāḥ ||2.4.65||

“The wives of the brāhmaṇas were always eager to see Kṛṣṇa, for their minds had been enchanted by descriptions of Him. Thus as soon as they heard that He had come, they became very excited.”
