The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.39; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

मदो’पि त्रि-विधः प्रोक्तस् तरुणादि-प्रभेदतः ।
अत्र नात्युपयोगित्वाद् विस्तार्य न हि वर्णितः ॥२.४.३९॥

mado’pi tri-vidhaḥ proktas taruṇādi-prabhedataḥ |
atra nātyupayogitvād vistārya na hi varṇitaḥ
||2.4.39||

English translation

“There are three types of intoxication according to the stage of intoxication. However these will not be discussed in this work as they are not very useful to the topic.”
