The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.36; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र मधु-पान-भवो, यथा ललित-माधवे (५.४१) —
बिले क्व नु विलिल्यिरे नृप-पिपीलिकाः पीडिताः
पिनस्मि जगद्-अण्डकं ननु हरिः क्रुधं धास्यति ।
शची-गृह-कुरङ्ग रे हससि किं त्वम् इत्य् उन्नदन्न्
उदेति मद-डम्बर-स्खलित-चूडम् अग्रे हली ॥२.४.३६॥

tatra madhu-pāna-bhavo, yathā lalita-mādhave (5.41) —
bile kva nu vililyire nṛpa-pipīlikāḥ pīḍitāḥ
pinasmi jagad-aṇḍakaṃ nanu hariḥ krudhaṃ dhāsyati |
śacī-gṛha-kuraṅga re hasasi kiṃ tvam ity unnadann
udeti mada-ḍambara-skhalita-cūḍam agre halī
||2.4.36||

English translation

Rapture from intoxication, from Lalita-mādhava [5.41]:
Baladeva arrived with disheveled hair, fully intoxicated with liquor. He began to shout, ‘The ant-like kings, being defeated, are hiding in some hole. I will smash the whole universe. O Indra, plaything of Śacī! Why are you laughing?”
