The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.17; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

प्रारब्ध-कार्यासिद्धेः, यथा —
स्वप्ने मयाद्य कुसुमानि किलाहृतानि
यत्नेन तैर् विरचिता वन-मालिका च ।
यावन् मुकुन्द-हृदि हन्त निधीयते सा
हा तावद् एव तरसा विरराम निद्रा ॥२.४.१७॥

prārabdha-kāryāsiddheḥ, yathā —
svapne mayādya kusumāni kilāhṛtāni
yatnena tair viracitā vana-mālikā ca |
yāvan mukunda-hṛdi hanta nidhīyate sā
hā tāvad eva tarasā virarāma nidrā
||2.4.17||

English translation

From failure to accomplish an action:
“Today in a dream I was picking flowers and very carefully made a garland from them. But just when I thought of offering it to the heart of Mukunda, my sleep broke.”
