The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.75; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा वा —
निरुद्धं बाष्पाम्भः कथम् अपि मया गद्गद-गिरो
ह्रिया सद्यो गूढाः सखि विघटितो वेपथुर् अपि ।
गिरि-द्रोण्यां वेणौ ध्वनति निपुणैर् इङ्गित-मये
तथाप्य् ऊहाञ्चक्रे मम मनसि रागः परिजनैः ॥२.३.७५॥yathā vā —
niruddhaṃ bāṣpāmbhaḥ katham api mayā gadgada-giro
hriyā sadyo gūḍhāḥ sakhi vighaṭito vepathur api |
giri-droṇyāṃ veṇau dhvanati nipuṇair iṅgita-maye
tathāpy ūhāñcakre mama manasi rāgaḥ parijanaiḥ ||2.3.75||
English translation
Another example:
“O friend! When the sound of the flute indicating the presence of Kṛṣṇa manifests in the ravine, I stop the flow of tears, I hide my choked voice and conceal the trembling of my body. However, skillful persons have guessed that I have attraction to Kṛṣṇa in my heart.”
