The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.48; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

तत्र विषादाद्, यथा —
श्वेतीकृताखिल-जनं विरहेण तवाधुना ।
गोकुलं कृष्ण देवर्षेः श्वेतद्वीप-भ्रमं दधे ॥२.३.४८॥

tatra viṣādād, yathā —
śvetīkṛtākhila-janaṃ viraheṇa tavādhunā |
gokulaṃ kṛṣṇa devarṣeḥ śvetadvīpa-bhramaṃ dadhe ||2.3.48||

English translation

From grief:
“O Kṛṣṇa! In separation from You, all the inhabitants of Vraja have now turned white, such that Nārada has mistaken Gokula for Svetadvīpa.”
