The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.46; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

हर्षेण, यथा —
विहससि कथं हताशे पश्य भयेनाद्य कम्पमानास्मि ।
चञ्चलम् उपसीदन्तं निवारय व्रज-पतेस् तनयम् ॥२.३.४६॥

harṣeṇa, yathā —
vihasasi kathaṃ hatāśe paśya bhayenādya kampamānāsmi |
cañcalam upasīdantaṃ nivāraya vraja-pates tanayam ||2.3.46||

English translation

From joy:
“O foolish friend! Why are you smiling? See—I am now trembling with fear. Keep away the fickle son of Nanda who is approaching.”
