The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.31; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

क्रोधाद्, यथा —
यज्ञस्य भङ्गाद् अतिवृष्टि-कारिणं
समीक्ष्य शक्रं सरुषो गरुत्मतः ।
घनोपरिष्टाद् अपि तिष्ठतस् तदा
निपेतुर् अङ्गाद् घन-नीर-बिन्दवः ॥२.३.३१॥

krodhād, yathā —
yajñasya bhaṅgād ativṛṣṭi-kāriṇaṃ
samīkṣya śakraṃ saruṣo garutmataḥ
|
ghanopariṣṭād api tiṣṭhatas tadā
nipetur aṅgād ghana-nīra-bindavaḥ
||2.3.31||

English translation

From anger:
“Seeing Indra showering down excessive rain because his sacrifice had been stopped, Garuḍa, situated on a could at a distance, became filled with anger. Profuse drops of perspiration fell from his limbs.”
