The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.2.21; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. वपुर् उत्फुल्लतारक्तोद्गमाद्याः स्युः परे’पि ये ।
अतीव-विरलत्वात् ते नैवात्र परिकीर्तिताः ॥२.२.२१॥vapur utphullatāraktodgamādyāḥ syuḥ pare’pi ye |
atīva-viralatvāt te naivātra parikīrtitāḥ ||2.2.21||
English translation
“Other symptoms such as extreme goosebumps and sweating blood are not described here because they are very rare.”
iti śrī-śrī-bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhau dakṣiṇa-vibhāge
bhakti-rasa-sāmānya-nirūpaṇe’nubhāva-laharī dvitīyā |
“Thus ends the Second Wave of the Southern Ocean of Śrī Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu, concerning anubhāva.”
