The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.384; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ तद्-वासरो, यथा —
अद्भुता बहवः सन्तु भगवत्-पर्व-वासराः ।
आमोदयति मां धन्या कृष्ण-भाद्रपदाष्टमी ॥२.१.३८४॥

atha tad-vāsaro, yathā —
adbhutā bahavaḥ santu bhagavat-parva-vāsarāḥ |
āmodayati māṃ dhanyā kṛṣṇa-bhādrapadāṣṭamī
||2.1.384||

English translation

An example of the days commemorating the Lord:
“Here there are many festival days commemorating the Lord. However, the auspicious eighth tithi of the waning moon in the month of Bhadra (Janmāṣṭamī) gives me great joy.”

iti śrī-śrī-bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhau dakṣiṇa-vibhāge
bhakti-rasa-sāmānya-nirūpaṇe vibhāva-laharī prathamā |

“Thus ends the First Wave of the Southern Ocean of Śrī Bhakti-rasāmṛta- sindhu, concerning vibhāva.”
