The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.355; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

स्याज् जूटः कवरी चूडा वेणी च कच-बन्धनम् ।
पाण्डुरः कर्बुरः पीत इत्य् आलेपस् त्रिधा मतः ॥२.१.३५५॥

syāj jūṭaḥ kavarī cūḍā veṇī ca kaca-bandhanam |
pāṇḍuraḥ karburaḥ pīta ity ālepas tridhā mataḥ
||2.1.355||

English translation

“Tying the hair consists of tying the hair at the back of the neck, binding flowers in the hair, binding the hair in a topknot and braiding the hair. The cosmetics are white, multicolor and yellow.”
