The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.351; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
स्मेरास्यः परिहित-पाटलाम्बर-श्रीश्
छन्नाङ्गः पुरट-रुचोरु-कञ्चकेन ।
उष्णीषं दधद् अरुणं धटीं च चित्राम्
कंसारिर् वहति महोत्सवे मुदं नः ॥२.१.३५१॥

yathā —
smerāsyaḥ parihita-pāṭalāmbara-śrīś
channāṅgaḥ puraṭa-rucoru-kañcakena |
uṣṇīṣaṃ dadhad aruṇaṃ dhaṭīṃ ca citrām
kaṃsārir vahati mahotsave mudaṃ naḥ
||2.1.351||

English translation

“The enemy of Kaṃsa, smiling in great joy, and wearing a pink dhoti, orange turban, an excellent vest of shining gold and multi-color sash, creates joy in us.”
