The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.324; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

वैदग्धी-सार-विस्तारः कुञ्ज-केलि-महोत्सवः ।
आरम्भो रास-लीलादेर् इह चेष्टादि-सौष्ठवम् ॥२.१.३२४॥

vaidagdhī-sāra-vistāraḥ kuñja-keli-mahotsavaḥ |
ārambho rāsa-līlāder iha ceṣṭādi-sauṣṭhavam
||2.1.324||

English translation

“The excellence of His behavior during the middle of His youth consists of a profuse concentration of charming but cunning actions, a great festival of pastimes in the groves and the beginning of the rāsa dance.”
