The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.306; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अतस् तस्य स्वरूपस्य स्याद् आलम्बनतैव हि ।
उद्दीपनत्वम् एव स्याद् भूषणादेस् तु केवलम् ॥२.१.३०६॥

atas tasya svarūpasya syād ālambanataiva hi |
uddīpanatvam eva syād bhūṣaṇādes tu kevalam
||2.1.306||

English translation

“The form of Kṛṣṇa is the ālambana. His ornaments, age and other items act as uddīpana.”
