The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.260; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
अन्याय्यं न हराव् इति व्यपगत-द्वारार्गला दानवा
रक्षी कृष्ण इति प्रमत्तम् अभितः क्रीडासु रक्ताः सुराः ।
साक्षी वेत्ति स भक्तिम् इत्य् अवनत-व्राताश् च चिन्तोज्झिताः
के विश्वम्भर न त्वद्-अङ्घ्रि-युगले विश्रम्भितां भेजिरे ॥२.१.२६०॥yathā —
anyāyyaṃ na harāv iti vyapagata-dvārārgalā dānavā
rakṣī kṛṣṇa iti pramattam abhitaḥ krīḍāsu raktāḥ surāḥ |
sākṣī vetti sa bhaktim ity avanata-vrātāś ca cintojjhitāḥ
ke viśvambhara na tvad-aṅghri-yugale viśrambhitāṃ bhejire ||2.1.260||
English translation
An example:
“Because there is no sense of injustice in the Lord, even the demons leave their doors open. Because they have faith that Kṛṣṇa is their protector, the devatās indulge in play without worry. Understanding that He is the witness and thus knows their bhakti, those offering obeisances (devotees) have given up anxiety. O supporter of the universe! Who does not have faith in Your lotus feet?”
