The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.252; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथाष्टाव् अनुकीर्त्यन्ते सद्-गुणत्वेन विश्रुताः ।
मङ्गलालङ्क्रिया-रूपाः सत्त्व-भेदास् तु पौरुषाः ॥२.१.२५१॥
शोभा विलासो माधुर्यं माङ्गल्यं स्थैर्य-तेजसी ।
ललितौदार्यम् इत्य् एते सत्त्व-भेदास् तु पौरुषाः ॥२.१.२५२॥

athāṣṭāv anukīrtyante sad-guṇatvena viśrutāḥ |
maṅgalālaṅkriyā-rūpāḥ sattva-bhedās tu pauruṣāḥ ||2.1.251||
śobhā vilāso mādhuryaṃ māṅgalyaṃ sthairya-tejasī |
lalitaudāryam ity ete sattva-bhedās tu pauruṣāḥ
||2.1.252||

English translation

“Excellent qualities of the heart, the embodiments of auspiciousness, are glorified as eight: glory, playfulness, sweetness, steadiness, strength, beauty and generosity.”
