The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.225; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

बहुविध-गुण-क्रियाणाम् आस्पद-भूतस्य पद्मनाभस्य ।
तत्-तल्-लीला-भेदाद् विरुध्यते न हि चतुर्-विधाः ॥२.१.२२५॥

bahuvidha-guṇa-kriyāṇām āspada-bhūtasya padmanābhasya |
tat-tal-līlā-bhedād virudhyate na hi catur-vidhāḥ
||2.1.225||

English translation

“Classifying Kṛṣṇa into four different types is not a contradiction, because of the respective differences in the pastimes of the Lord, who is the abode of many different types of qualities and activities.”
