The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.164; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा वा —
आशीस्-तथ्या जय जय जयेत्य् आविरास्ते मुनीनां
देव-श्रेणी-स्तुति-कल-कलो मेदुरः प्रादुरस्ति ।
हर्षाद् घोषः स्फुरति परितो नागरीणां गरीयान्
के वा रङ्ग-स्थल-भुवि हरौ भेजिरे नानुरागम् ॥२.१.१६३॥

yathā vā —
āśīs-tathyā jaya jaya jayety āvirāste munīnāṃ
deva-śreṇī-stuti-kala-kalo meduraḥ prādurasti |
harṣād ghoṣaḥ sphurati parito nāgarīṇāṃ garīyān
ke vā raṅga-sthala-bhuvi harau bhejire nānurāgam
||2.1.163||

अनोथेर् एxअम्प्ले:
“Wहेन् कृष्ण एन्तेरेद् थे अरेन ओf कंस थे सगेस् उत्तेरेद् ब्लेस्सिन्ग्स् ओf
‘विच्तोर्य्! विच्तोर्य्! विच्तोर्य्!’ थे देवतास् उत्तेरेद् स्wएएत् सोन्ग्स् ओf प्रैसे. ओउत् ओf जोय्, थे wओमेन् स्होउतेद् लोउद्ल्य् अल्ल् अरोउन्द्. Wहो दिद् नोत् देवेलोप् अत्त्रच्तिओन् तो कृष्ण अत् थे स्पोर्त्स् अरेन?”

(४५) साधु-समाश्रयः —
सद्-एक-पक्षपाती यः स स्यात् साधु-समाश्रयः ॥२.१.१६४॥

“When Kṛṣṇa entered the arena of Kaṃsa the sages uttered blessings of
‘Victory! Victory! Victory!’ The devatās uttered sweet songs of praise. Out of joy, the women shouted loudly all around. Who did not develop attraction to Kṛṣṇa at the sports arena?”

(45) sādhu-samāśrayaḥ —
sad-eka-pakṣapātī yaḥ sa syāt sādhu-samāśrayaḥ ||2.1.164||

English translation

(45) sādhu-samāśrayaḥ: protects the devotees —
“He who has exclusive inclination towards the devotees is called the protector of the devotees.”
